The Christmas Chunky Headband
Always wanted to knit something wearable and giftable but never knew where to start?
Come spend an inspiring afternoon at Pluche as part of the Circulair Winterfeest organised by the Kweektuin, where Alice will guide you through the world of chunky knitting.
The Chunky Headband workshop from Alice at Learn to Knit is the perfect project to either learn some brand new knitting skills (casting on, knit stitch and casting off) or advance your beginner basics with a simple knit and purl stitch pattern - no matter your skill level, this workshop will result in something you will feel proud to wear!
Alice has been a knitting teacher for beginner and intermediate knitters for over 20 years and will show you step by step how to knit a cosy headband with ease!
Together we will cast on (start) before you then choose between two different stitch patterns, every step demonstrated clearly and calmly. The workshop comes with a printed copy of the knitting pattern for you to take home, so you can knit as many headbands as you desire - they make great festive gifts!

The Details
- This is a chunky knit project, knitted on 10mm needles
- Complete beginners and new knitters welcome.
- Two versions to choose from, suitable for complete beginners and those with knit and purl stitch skills
- Bring your own materials to keep it circular, or choose from our yarn selection in the shop.
- Alice will have glitter thread on hand for anyone who wants to add a touch of sparkle to their headband.
- 15% in-store discount applicable to purchases made on the day is included for all participants.
- Coffee and snacks can be purchased at the Kweekcafe.
- Cost of the 2 hour workshop inc knitting needles + pattern is €49,99 p.p.
